DAY ONE:  Welcome! We will depart St. Louis in the morning via deluxe motor coach and our journey begins to Tennessee! As flowers begin to bloom, the sun begins to shine and the temperatures start to rise, the Smoky Mountains come to life in full color as springtime takes over the hills and valleys of Tennessee. Our dinner and overnight will be in Cookeville, TN.

 

DAY TWO: After breakfast at the hotel, Our short drive will lead us into the majestic Smoky Mountains! Our first stop will be at the Bush’s Beans Visitor Center and Museum - nestled in the foothills of Smokies at Chestnut Hill, Tennessee. We will learn all about the Bush’s family history, beans and how they have spent the last 110 years spreading that good bean word.  Our next stop for lunch and browsing is at the popular “Island at Pigeon Forge”. Enjoy a taste at the Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine visitors center or over at Paul Deen’s restaurant. Then we’re off to Mountain Valley Winery for a sip and tasting. Producing wine in the Smokies since 1991, Mountain Valley has since come out with many popular award-winning varieties. With a focus on making French and German style wines along with a great selection of sweet fruit wines. We then check into our hotel accommodations in Pigeon Forge - in the heart of the Smokies - for the next three nights. This evening be entertained at the fun Hatfield and McCoy’s Dinner Theater! The show follows the longest running family feud in history as they try to settle their differences mountain-style. This Broadway-style production is one of the Smokies most visited attractions!

DAY THREE: This morning after breakfast, we visit Gatlinburg, TN - one of America’s great mountain resort destinations. Gatlinburg is nestled just outside the national park giving it a unique, alpine feel – all with a Tennessee Southern twist. The village’s main street boasts hundreds of unique shops and restaurants for browsing and lunch. This afternoon we visit the Great Smoky National Park Sugarlands Visitors Center to see the extensive natural history exhibits, film, bookstore and gift shop. Afterwards, our scenic drive into the park to Newfound Gap overlook is breathtaking.  Dinner tonight with be “Smokies Southern Style” before returning to our hotel.

DAY FOUR: After breakfast, we will depart for Dolly Parton’s “Dollywood” park! Spanning 160 acres in the Great Smoky Mountains, Dollywood theme park offers high-energy entertainment, award-winning dining and the friendliest theme park atmosphere in the world! Dollywood has been described as an “Incredible experience... Authentic fun... Creating unforgettable memories.” We will return to the hotel after our afternoon and evening time at the park.

DAY FIVE: Breakfast at the hotel before we bid farewell to the Smokies. Our journey is not complete without visiting Dolly Parton’s hometown of Sevierville and a stop at the Dolly Parton Statue. A tribute to the superstar by her hometown community, the bronze sculpture shows Dolly holding her guitar. Dolly, herself, ranks the work as one of her most-prized recognitions. Our overnight and dinner stop will be in Clarksville, TN.

DAY SIX: Breakfast before we depart our hotel. Our final day of this amazing Springtime journey will include several breaks along the way while enjoying the scenery before returning to St. Louis by early evening.
